Today we went for a walk around mid-town for the first time this year. We just drove downtown parked and walked with no place in mind for a destination. We realized that over planning truly kills magic. We discovered places today that we would have never planned to go see. The river walk area quickly became our new favorite spot in all of Reno. We couldn’t get enough between the Truckee River Walk to finding wall murals on the side of coffee shops on a random street. So many cities are full of gems just waiting on you to find them. Go outside today and walk around with no destination in mind, I promise you will find something special you didn’t even know you were looking for.
“In 1909 twenty-two year old Alice Ramsey became the first woman to drive across the United States in an automobile. She and her three female companions are depicted here, in her 1909 Maxwell Briscoe, crossing the Nevada desert east of the Truckee Meadows.”

What more inspiration do you need to conquer your dreams than randomly coming across a mural of a woman who changed history by following her own?
